Our Impact

With a combination of proactive policing and community partnerships, we strive to decrease crime by focusing on issues that directly impact the quality of life in the Borough. We work cooperatively with other Borough Departments, businesses, apartment complexes, and the citizens of Glassboro, and our overall crime reduction in town has dropped significantly over the last 25 years.

As the graphs below illustrate, overall violent crime reports have decreased 81% and overall property crime reports have decreased 63% since 1994.

“Our police officers put their lives on the line for us every single day. They've got a tough job to do to maintain public safety and hold accountable those who break the law. Without them we live in chaos.”

- Glassboro Mayor John E. Wallace III

Our Programs

Police EXPLORERS

The Glassboro Police Explorers are comprised of young men and women, 14 years old (and completed 8th grade) to 20 years of age, who are residents of Glassboro and beyond. Part of the Boy Scouts of America “Learning for Life” program, Police Exploring provides educational training for young adults on the purposes, mission, and objectives of law enforcement. The program provides career orientation experiences, leadership opportunities, and community service activities. The primary goals of the program are to help young adults choose a career path within law enforcement and to challenge them to become responsible citizens of their communities and the nation.
